Great comment. My stories are superficially about "Veronica" yet somehow Logan's struggle ends up being important too. I guess I can't write a romantic relationship without both characters growing and changing.

There's some guilt on Veronica's part, since she destroyed her dad's life, and while she's trying to be neutral as they discuss what they should do, that has to factor in. We saw Keith start to take breaking the law a little bit less seriously in season 3 (trying to find Batando, etc.) and I always felt that being a "sleazy" PI was starting to warp him. So he *could* flee Neptune, break a bunch of laws, etc., but in his heart, he's the guy who staked his career on solving Lilly Kane's murder. He's a practical guy, and family trumps everything, but he certainly would prefer to go home and clean up Neptune. Veronica knows this, deep down. She's always telling herself to "fix this", she probably shouldn't take everything on the way she does (a bit egomaniacal) but I think the closing shot of season 3 is a Veronica Mars who wants to set things right. The trick is in how she'll get things right again.

Thanks for your comment!
