I liked the way you broke Veronica and rebuilt her, but I think for example her saving everyones skin on the boat would have made a believable catalyst for her recovery. But I don't want to complain, since the story never loosened its grip on me and the character development was plausible and engaging.
BTW, since you didn't want to finish the story is there any chance for a sequel? I'd really love to read of the trial against Klein & Co.
