Sorry for the delay in replying...a couple intense days here.
There are so many ways that the show missed following up on the baseball bat incident! Where were the paparazzi? Where were our scenes of Logan peeing into a cup? Where was Logan taking anger management classes and picking up trash by the side of the road? Etc., etc. For me, whenever I discover a plot hole or red herring in the show, it always gives me a little thrill, because it's something I can work with and turn it into a plot twist (I love it when the writers screw up—more fun for me).
Thank you—I'm really enjoying working on an ongoing fic as well. It's really nice to have the back and forth with my readers again, and I don't think I'd realized how much I missed it.
