Hi skatey, I'm catching up on comments after a big push to get the next two chapters and another fic posted for Xmas.

It's interesting that you thought Veronica's "freak-out" felt more connected to the first chapter. I'm trying to maintain that style to a certain extent, and it's rough going. (I also think it would incredibly rough going for the reader if I wrote chapter after chapter of metaphorical musings, where she's observing her surroundings in order for me to express her point-of-view.) I do think that Veronica is the kind of person who craves action, and introspection can be very uncomfortable for her (in fact, my giant epic pretty much was completely about that).
