Re: Really, really enjoying this.

The more plausible explanation for season 3 is the presence of a bong and Guitar Hero in the writers' room, and rewatching 'The Big Lebowski' instead of their own show.

However! (sorry—I'm currently rewatching season 3, for this fic, and I'm a little irked.)

Thank you very much for reading my WIP. I understand your statement very much, and relate to it. I'm trying to update pretty often, every week or so. Because this last one was a double update, I may need a little longer for the next chapter. I prefer to be two chapters ahead when I post.

It's a pretty common theme for me, to try to give some additional meaning to the scenes that we saw and to fill in the blanks. I'm trying to do something different this time, more like a novel, rather than actually imitating the show as I was trying to do in YLD/YLD2. It's often hard not to lapse into what I've done in those stories.

However, once I hit upon using the bat incident to inform our knowledge of Logan with Madison, I felt pretty confident that I had something to write about in this story, similarly to a couple revelations about canon I had that drove the story in YLD2 (in my author's notes, if you never read those).

It's very helpful to get feedback as I write, and with the fandom so small, I'm depending on a very few people to consistently do that in order to encourage me. And it's always interesting to see what I've written through the prism of my readers.

There are also a few particular things that I'm working on specifically in the writing of this story, and I appreciate that everyone is helping me by commenting or reviewing. You have no idea how much people's specific comments help me to figure out what's working in the fic, and they tend to focus my thinking for future chapters. Someone's offhand comment on FF the other day really made an impact on me...so your thoughts as I write might do the same. And of course the interaction with my readers is very enjoyable, as I'm sure you can see. I missed that very much during my hiatus from fandom.

Thanks very much for reading and commenting.
