Well, I didn't write the section where Logan got arrested until I had conceived the rescue. Many times I'm working backwards: I want something to happen in the future, and what would work to cause that something. I do research all the little details. I'm sure I get stuff wrong but it's not because I don't try hard enough.

I really appreciate hearing that this felt suspenseful. That's one of the larger goals for me in the writing of this, to work on suspenseful writing.
