Thank you for taking the time to comment. The general idea I have for this story is that they really were in a LOT of trouble at the end of season three. I knew if the show came back, they would probably handwave a lot of it. (And even I did that in another epic fic.) Well, what if you didn't handwave it?

Right now, the endgame is to get somewhere safe and hide--then, a long term plan can be created. Of course, the more that things go wrong, the harder that's going to be. The problem with blackmail is that they had to decide to go very quickly (if they were going to stay alive), and there was no time to put together an elaborate scenario. And there was also the criminal charges against all three of them (if you add in battery for Logan)--witness protection would be their only option but that's only good if it's offered, and that's not a sure bet. But more than anything, it's Veronica's tendency to do things like blackmail that got them in this very situation. Now they all have to figure a way to get clear of this.
