It's so nice to hear that people like my convoluted plots. I love twisting canon and seeing what comes out.
The YLD universe was all-consuming for me while I was writing it. I enjoy the research, and I try to let the research drive the plots, rather than twisting facts to suit my ideas. Some might find my plots to be far-fetched but I was usually able to satisfy myself that they were a possible result, given what we know about the characters (except for Keith's actions in YLD2 which are OOC but necessary for the main plot device).
YLD2 was much more planned than this current fic. I had the last scene written more than a year before I finished, and a couple of the major dramatic scenes were conceived long before they were put in the story.
That doesn't mean there's not a plan for this story, but it is not outlined the way that YLD2 was. It's interesting to see where the characters take me this time around, and I've narrowed the focus so intensely to Veronica and her perception that the fic is feeling really different to write than YLD.
