I think the key with the movie is to manage your expectations. It's only a little longer than an episode after all, and there's going to be a ton of exposition. We can predict the bare bones from what RT has said: she goes to the reunion, stumbles around spying, then after a few smoldering glances she and Logan cautiously grope toward each other. It'll be interesting to see if they structure it like an episode, with an overarching arc continuing the last season, and A mystery and a B story. Or if it's more a three act movie structure with a romantic bent.
It's a little odd, maybe even upsetting, that all my canon permutations will be wiped away. It's a safe bet that RT won't be finding all the nooks and crannies of canon that I specialized in in these stories.
And I'm sure I'll be buying the books too. It's a little ironic since the whole thing of me writing VM came about because I did a hopeful Google search for VM tie-in novels. I had never heard of fanfic before that. Life is crazy that way.
