This post has gotten so many comments. It's great. Although you should have more because your story has everything: noir, snark, sex (of course) and some fantastic original mysteries. I am still in awe and I get to read the posts beforehand!
I think that Logan was very useful in selling the extortion to Leo. They make a good team. But now I'm sad that yet another corrupt sheriff will be in office. At least Leo isn't morally bankrupt as were Lamb and Vinnie.
You know I was a huge skeptic of this entire line of thought, but you truly won me over. You have explained it so well. Your Leo, here, comes off so thoroughly menacing. It makes perfect sense. And with Max Greenfield's reappearance in S3, I'm sure the writers were setting up something similarly dastardly. You just beat 'em to it, V. Good for you.
And are you sure that Neptune isn't actually in some alternate universe? I mean, jeez, everyone is evil. Some say even Veronica as evil in S3. (I do not.)
