This has been written for a while. However, I wanted to be mostly finished before I started posting again, and unfortunately I'm kind of stuck again, but maybe I'll be able to push on now.

I have reservations about this story. Too implausible, too OOC. And sailing is hard to write about for people that don't know (or care about) the sport.

So, I have just spent the last few days (while supposedly doing research for the final project of my master's in education) reading both parts of The Year of Living Dangerously, as well as all the chapters that are up for Precipitation.

Wow.

The way you write for all of the characters (major and minor) is incredible. Your command of voice never fails to impress me (particularly all the minor character interactions in YLD) - it's as though I'm watching the show. I completely buy your interpretations of plot holes from the show (of COURSE Logan was on probation, which is why he was actually attending classes!), and the characters' actions seem completely in keeping with what we know about them.

Also, your sex scenes are among the best I've ever read. I really appreciate the fact that they are not just gratuitous, but serve the overall story. That, and they're hot. Really, really hot. :-D

Thank you--I really love the minor characters and I think I might have started writing because I missed the interaction of *all* the characters in the typical L/V fics that are out there. And of course, I got rid of them in Precipitation (and perhaps that's why it's taking me so much longer to write it).

And, yes, you are supposed to get something out of the sex scenes other than hot and bothered. I think that people let down their guard in the bedroom in a way that they do nowhere else (especially characters like Veronica who are so self-controlled) so you find more insight in these situations. (I always wonder about people on Amazon who complain about books having sex scenes...)
